St. Charles Avenue Magazine hosted its 5th annual “Wine, Dine & Design” tablescapes event, which features 25 extravagantly decorated tables created from the ground up by local retailers and designers in October. From linens and chair backs, to glassware and cutlery, each table was a unique and elaborate work of art.
The proceeds from both the preview party and luncheon benefitted Bastion, a veterans housing development, an organization that is an intentionally designed neighborhood in New Orleans for returning warriors with lifelong rehabilitative needs and their families.
Every Bastion resident benefits from the experience of helping others, and this in turn promotes wellbeing and life satisfaction. The Bastion approach restores families, reduces stress at home, and expands social networks to strengthen resilience.
Our team at Palate New Orleans was pleased to bring a Garden of Eden touch to our table with handmade pottery designed as head vases by Glenn Vatshell filled with freshly cut florals. The takeaway gift for the table guests were miniature head vases with succulents.
All of the flowers were hand selected to bring a beautiful but not overwhelming perfume to the atmosphere. Down to each color, shape and smell, our florists were hands on to match the visual aesthetic to the original design.
