The French feel of Race and Religious was perfectly reflected in the choice of color and venue of Carr and St. Pierre Bakery’s Corporate Event.
Carr invited 150 delegates from the world of food including retailers, brokers, the media and their favorite brands, to come down and sample their favorite recipes and experience the famous Southern hospitality.
There, guests were treated to a night of entertainment, which included fan dancers, a classic New Orleans jazz band and even an Absinthe Fairy, who was on hand to explain the history behind the popular spirit and to teach guests the tricks of the trade when it comes to drinking it.
For those who weren’t a fan of Absinthe, wine, beer, spirits and Aperol Spritz cocktails in the famous orange shade were served throughout the evening.
We whipped up an all-American feast for the guests to keep them partying through the night.
Smoked sausage was served on their St. Pierre Bakery famous brioche hot dog rolls and topped with crawfish for a smoky twist on an American classic, while other guests tucked into blackened chicken, cast-iron seared with cajun spice and served with creamy coleslaw atop one of our sweet brioche rolls.
For those with a sweet tooth, we set up a dessert station, allowing guests to sample crepes, tear and share brioche and waffles.
The sweet treats on offer included a peach melba brioche waffle, topped with raspberry sauce and whipped cream, and a Chantilly brioche, layered with cream and macerated berries – the perfect way to top off a great evening.
